Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Archon is an AI-powered platform that generates production-ready system prompts from natural language descriptions. Our service includes prompt generation, prompt comparison (Arena), agent package creation, and related tools. By using Archon, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Account Responsibilities

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Each individual may maintain only one (1) account. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Credits & Subscriptions

  • Credits: Credits are consumed when generating prompts or using AI-powered features. Unused credits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred between accounts.
  • Subscriptions: Paid subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time; upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
  • Free Tier: Free-tier users receive a limited number of credits. We reserve the right to modify free-tier allowances at any time.

4. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain full ownership of the system prompts generated using Archon. You may use, modify, and distribute your generated prompts without restriction.

Service Improvement: Archon may use anonymized and aggregated data derived from usage patterns to improve the service. We will never publicly share or sell your specific prompt content.

Platform IP: The Archon platform, its codebase, meta-prompts, UI design, and branding are the intellectual property of Archon and may not be copied, reverse engineered, or redistributed.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Generate prompts designed to produce harmful, illegal, or malicious content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying meta-prompts or algorithms
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to make bulk requests to the service
  • Abuse the API rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions
  • Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to interfere with the service infrastructure or other users' access

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy, quality, or fitness for a particular purpose of generated prompts
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service
  • That generated prompts will produce specific results when used with AI models

You are solely responsible for evaluating and testing generated prompts before deploying them in production systems.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Archon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Archon in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. For material changes that affect paid users, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Archon shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules. Class action lawsuits and class-wide arbitration are waived.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of Archon after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
